U-verse TV Equipment

I have two ATT boxes in my home currently: VIP2250 ISB7005 Having problems with intermittant signals. ATT sent me a new VIP 2262 box. Which one should I replace?

AT&T just keeps finding ways to be even cheaper, and really just be pennywise and pound foolish. I got a replacement STB("refurbished" like all equipment now) and it came with a "refurbished" remote control. The other night I went to bed and went in our bedroom and turned on the receiver, I got a message for something like I have used up the allotted receivers and can't watch on that one. I had my wife turn off the down stairs one and I got the channel I was on. I had her turn the downstairs one back on

Receiver is showing red x on screen. Have tried soft & hard re-boots. Gear appears for a few minutes, then returns to red x.

When I press the pause on my remote or try to record I get the following message "Pause command not available DVR is either unplugged or restarting." Neither is correct. It is plugged in and working. Cannot access my recorded programs either, get same message.

We received a new Uverse DVR receiver about 2 months ago and the main one has been making a constant noise ever since we started using it. It is not super loud but it is annoying and occurs all the time...please help as it is driving me crazy!
