U-verse TV Equipment

5 yrs old UVerse box can't make the HDMI1 connection anymore. Tried rebooting 6 or 8 times, TV can't see it. Two other receivers working just fine. The green light is dimmer on the bad unit when it's powered up. Is it possible that it's just gone south and I need a new one?

Do you always have to pay a monthly charge for additional tv boxes, or can you outright buy it

It looks like the IR sensor is to the right of the USB, and if I put the IR extender transmitter there, it partly works but not very good at all. Are there any tricks for this? Are there any better boxes that I can request that work better with an IR extender?

Our DVR Cisco IPN4320 is having to be reset more often, seems to be responding sluggishly,and limited space with todays HD shows. AT&T had mentioned on last service call years ago, it would eventually need replacement. Now it is time. I can not find a link anywhere on the website about trading DVRs

Is there a way to transfer recorded shows from old receiver (DVR) unit to a new unit when replacing (updating) receiver (DVR) unit? If so, where can I find instructions or explanation on how to do it?

i have try to reset the box and unplugged everything to fix and i am not sure what do next since since i have stuff that i would like to watch on the the but i can't since the power surge on wednesday.

Watching program and picture freezes but sound continues. Can lost for short period of time or hours. Changing channels sometimes helps sometimes doesn’t.
