How do I rearrange my apps on the directv device?

I just received the new Gemini dongle receiver yesterday and everything works fine but I cannot channel jump. In other words I can only change channels with guide or channel lever control. I have DIRECTV Stream service and I use the DIRECTV app on my TCL smart TV to watch my streaming channels. The DIRECTV app seems to freeze fairly regularly and once it does none of the buttons on the remote can get you out. How can I force quit the app and restart it?
