Received email from DTV offering 3 month free for Paramount+ and Showtime and auto cancel at 3 months. Is this legit ?

If I disconnect the Directv hdmi cable from the LG tv, the streaming apps, Netflix/Prime/Hulu work fine. If the Directv cable is connected to the tv, streaming apps quit within 1-3 seconds.
