U-verse TV

Channel 1209 is NewsMax. It has a midday show called Newsline. The description is about NHK's Newsline program. NHK World TV is a Japanese-focused news channel. @Withoutatrace @mfpcarden or @UVTVguru are probably the only ones here who would know how to fix it.

As I understand it, my uverse tv remote is a radio frequency remote. My controller is in a tv cabinet. Remote only works with the door open. Thought a radio frequency remote would work thru it. Do I need a radio frequency booster of some sort? Thanks
