Stop recording a series on multiple channels

I set a TV series to record NEW EPISODES only in say CBS. BUT besides those episodes, it records every episode from other channels (Game Show channel).

The easiest solution would be an option to manually set a CHANNEL and TIME to record a series so that it would ONLY record from that channel and at that time.

I had this options years ago and it was great

PLEASE fix this problem of recording EVERY show aired for a series from every CHANNEL provided by DirecTV

This is a real problem that has been discussed here many times. There is not a way to record only new episodes on a specific channel. So it will record on the cloud DVR old, but flagged as new episodes from every possible channel. This make recording some shows, like The Price is Right, Jeopardy, Family Feud, and Saturday Night Live impossible. You have to select specific episodes one at a time from the guide and not record the series

Known issue that has been reported for years by many. Don't expect any (if any) resolution in the future.

What would at least help somewhat is if you can record only from your favorite channels list and not all channels. Seems that would be easy enough to do.

This is really becoming a problem for me that I’ve never had before because of the 4000 channels. I record America’s got talent on NBC, new episodes only.  And there must be an AGT channel that thinks they’re broadcasting 1 million new episodes, which they’re not and every day I have to go through two weeks worth of upcoming recordings to cancel all of them.

This is a real pain in the you know what. I am a huge supporter of DIRECTV products, but this is really becoming problematic.
