No local channels and most channels will not stream

App has no local channels and most channels come up with this message. Not available to stream on this device. These are all channels I have had no issues with in the past. Thank you for the help.

What streaming device are you using? What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Are they available on other devices - phone, tablet. PC, etc,?

I have tried on two phones, Roku stick, fire stick, Android tablet, and via the Internet site. Same result with all of them.

I have uninstalled the app. I have cleared cache. Cleared data. Restarted phone. Updated phone. And called DirecTV on 4 occasions.

Are you a Satellite or Stream customer?

I am a satellite customer, but love that I always have access to my content during lunch.

Satellite customers cannot access all of the same channels via Streaming. Different contract rights.

These are all channels I have had access to for years. I have always been able to stream espn/tnt/hgtv. With in the last two months that changed.

Channel/content owners can change their streaming permissions, especially for satellite service as streaming is a secondary perk and not a guaranteed method for all your content. There is also the recent transaction of AT&T selling off DirecTV which might be a factor. The possibility is that it is working as intended for your service, as much as you don't like it.

You would need to compare the streaming from someone who's service is from satellite and is registered in the same Designated Market Area (DMA), especially since you mention ESPN, to see if this is normal or there is something unique to your account.

Even if this particular instance is an account/technical issue, be aware there is never a guarantee of all content available for streaming from the satellite service. What is available is always subject to change.
