NBA league pass and New Orleans Pelicans team broadcast

I can't see any of the New Orleans Pelicans broadcast as an option in the Houston area market through my league pass subscription.  My only viewing option to watch is through the team they are playing's broadcast.

My son's in L.A.'s NBA League Pass on YouTube Tv provides him with both options.

Hi, @epbarrois. If the New Orleans Pelicans games aren't on national channels, you likely won't get the New Orleans broadcast on NBA League Pass. The broadcast rights and availability of a game are determined by the leagues, associations, and networks that buy the rights to show individual games. Veilka, DIRECTV Community Specialist

 Hi Veilka, DIRECTV Community Specialist

This has not been the case in the past several years.  I have always had the option to view both teams Pelicans and other teams broadcast.

Also, the fact YouTube TV's league pass provides both options is telling me this is an issue with DirecTV and the New Orleans Pelicans broadcast rights.

I was wondering the same thing I’m in North Carolina and I can’t get the New Orleans broadcast on my satellite box, but I can on the NBA app

Yes, I’m in Austin. Have always been able to watch in previous years. Every other team’s broadcast is available. We are NOT IN THE NEW ORLEANS market so why can’t we see the broadcast??? We are having to watch through the app but we don’t get pre and post game anymore. Direct TV cannot explain. This comment here does not explain it either. Are you saying the Pelicans broadcasting is deliberately not allowing us to watch the game? Why weren’t we told this so we could cancel our subscription. It’s too late now.

seems like an issue with the new pelicans+ plan they got going in New Orleand…. they aren’t allowing league pass to broadcast games ever since they left the Ballys network. must be exclusive TV rights or something …

Ive noticed it’s the same issue with Toronto Raptor broadcasts

every other team is OK

Are the Pelicans games going to be broadcast this year on NBA league pass. Pelicans have the best TV crew in the game with Joel and NBA. It is a shame we cant watch them as Pelican fans.

If you live in that area (or the area of the opposing team), you'll have to watch on the RSN.

NBA League Pass (and similar packages) have always been meant for two groups of people:

1) Those who need more games than what is available in their market or nationally.

2) Fans of teams who live far from their team's market.
