Can I change my Osprey remote to send IR to adjust volume on my LG C9 OLED TV?
I am using a C71KW Osprey device (the box, not the Gemini dongle) with DirecTV Stream. Works great, however I must have done something while poking around the menus to switch the remotes (I have two paired) to RF only. Everything still works, TV power and volume, but I think the TV is getting commands via HDMI ARC instead of IR. The reason for this is I have a Sonos ARC Ultra soundbar, and when I adjust volume using the Osprey remote, the level changes, but there is no OSD showing the volume level changing. However when I use an Amazon Firestick remote, I do get the OSD. Note both change the volume on the soundbar, so again, I think the Osprey remote is sending volume control via RF, then across ARC (HDMI Audio Return Channel) to the TV which is then passed to the Sonos soundbar without triggering the TV’s OSD. While the Firestick is sending via IR which is picked up by the TV, triggering the OSD and sending the command to the soundbar as well. But since it’s going through the TV’s IR processor, it displays the on screen display of the volume level adjustment.
I know this is TL/DR but what I am asking is: How can I set the Osprey remote to send volume commands to the TV via IR instead of RF?

Your offshore support rep was completely clueless. Said the Osprey remote was not compatible with the ARC Ultra. After I demonstrated it clearly controlled the ARC, only using HDMI and not IR, he insisted it wasn’t compatible. After I hung up in frustration, I figured it out on my own. Being in the remote programming screen, I noticed and toggled off “HDMI-CEC volume control” and boom, fixed. IR control to TV, OSD now shows as I wanted (the whole reason for this case)and ARC is still controlled as intended. Not sure why this was so difficult. But thanks to me, it’s resolved.

Hey, @Mchad. Please press any buttons on your remote, and if you see blue and red lights together (which might look purple), it means it's in IR mode. If it's not working, refreshing the connection between your remote and Osprey device can help. Here's how:
-Unpair your remote from the device by pressing and holding the DASH (-) and APPS or Diamond buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.
-Restart your Osprey device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device. You can also unplug your device and then plug it back in.
-When your device is back on, pair the remote again by pressing and holding FAST FORWARD and REWIND at the same time for 2-3 seconds. When they pair, you'll see a message on the screen that your remote is ready to use.

I followed your instructions exactly. Remote still only sends RF. In case there was a misunderstanding, I need the remote to sent IR for TV volume controls. What do I need to do?
