Satellite dish bracket damaging house

Direct TV satellite dish installation has damaged my house. Years after dropping their service their dish sat up on my roof largely ignored. After many years we have come to need to paint our eve’s where the brackets were attached. We were able to remove all but one. And it won’t come off. Contacted Direct TV and requested that they send an installer to remove the bracket. But they said since I am no longer a Direct TV customer go pound sand.

Once they install the bracket, it's yours.  They don't remove it.  It's generally a bad idea to remove it (other than if you're getting a new roof), because the holes will leak.

Once installed, that equipment is now part of the home. Meaning, that is your property.

When you cancel service they don't send anybody out to remove anything. All they own is the boxes that you ship back.

Even current customers don't get a tech to remove a bracket.

If there was an install error, you have 90 days from the install to address it. But years later you don't how things have settled and have difficulty with them, that's on you.

Sorry but that is the reality of the situation.
